Hi. My name is Sydney King and I am a Victim no More.

I started this blog because I want to focus on sharing my story, as well as the stories of other victims of abuse. I aspire to use this outlet as a means to encourage others to come forward with their abuse, whether they have gone through it or are going through it now.

My story is lengthy. It is hard to recount. It is one of power and salvation. It is one that many share.

I do not remember when the abuse started, only that it existed. I was sexually, physically, and mentally abused by the man who I believed was my father. For years. I did not come forward until my senior year of high school at 17 years old. I had been a Christian for a full year before I was finally delivered from that home.

Even though coming forward was the best decision of my life, it brought it's own set of hardships. I endeavor to be painfully honest with you (the reader) so that you can fully understand what it is that I went through.

I am a wife, a mother, and a follower of Jesus. Through everything I know that God has stood by me. Yes, even through my abuse. God did not design the abuse that I went to, but He did design the story that would come from it. I have a purpose for being here. My past has a purpose. I plan on using this life to the fullest effect that I can, which includes my horrible childhood.
